As the past view months have been quite stressful for me, I was even more happy that Le Méridien Hotels asked me if I want to do a little staycation at one of their hotels – And since I always wanted to experience my own city as someone who visits Vienna would, I packed my suitcase and checked into the Le Méridien Vienna for a coffee-fueled weekend to get re-inspired by my own city.
Since I’m a huge coffee lover, I was even more excited about the upcoming project as the Le Méridien Vienna has just been renovated and the recent Lobby has been turned into something completely new: THE HUB.
The Hub is a place that connects the typical hotel lobby with that warm and charming coffee house feeling hence it is a perfect place to have a delicious cup of coffee whilst getting inspired and your workload done. At Le Méridien Vienna, I met the brand’s Global Master Barista, Franz and watched him create something extremely special out of every single coffee he prepared. We had some great talks about coffee and what good coffee actually is – believe me, I am very picky when it comes to good coffee.
So after I had like 3 cups of coffee and loads of delicious Éclairs, I headed to my room on the top floor which had a wonderful view over the city. Since the hotel is situated in the beautiful city center, practically vis à vis of the Viennese State Opera, I immediately did a little photo tour around the city center and edited some of the photos I took in the Hub while eating another design-pastry of the Le Méridien Hotels, the Éclair. Those great vibes in the Hub immediately made me feel so cozy that I nearly spend 3 hours reading some magazines and editing all my photos in it – Something that I define as a grant for inspiration.
What I really appreciated about the Le Méridien Vienna is that there are so many different colors and styles in the hotel that all fit together… The entrance and the hub are very bright and the bar (such a lovely place) is a bit darker and moodier, with loads of golden and emerald details – And that means, that everyone can find his own very favorite spot in the hotel to work, relax or meet up with people whilst having some good drinks and snacks.I think you can well understand that after my staycation at Le Méridien Vienna sadly ended, I was amazed about what great ideas actually derive from a simple cup of coffee in a wonderful surrounding…
