I spontaneously made a trip to the beautiful Soca Valley and Triglav National Park in Slovenia in order to see the beautiful Soca river and the gorgeous mountains of this country.

Located in the famous and beautiful Julian Alps in the west of Triglav, the Soca River crosses one of the most beautiful parts of Slovenia. The valley has a length of 135 km or 86 miles and is not just known for rafting, but also for many tourists who just want to enjoy the beautiful sandy beach that you can find on some places in combination with the emerald green water…

I honestly have to say that the Socha river is the most beautiful one I’ve seen so far… If  you ever have the chance to see it: DO IT ! You won’t regret it :)

The pictures you can see above show the Julian Alps: They strech from Italy to Slovenia. A huge part of the Julian Alps are included in the Triglav National Park. The highest Mountain here is called Mount Triglav and is about 2864 meter high, which makes this mountain to the highest of Slovenia.

The lake you can see if you read on is called “Lago del Predil” it is located in Italy (very close to the Slovenian border) and if you are passing the border via Traviso/Italy (like I did) you will come across it on your way to Slovenia…
